There are several places to upload documents in the Gerstein Lab Network. Where documents should be uploaded depends on the intended audience: (1) subgroup meetings (2) publicly viewable (3) other purposes.

Private Documents

Subgroup Meetings, Journal Clubs, Group Meetings

Powerpoints, documents, data files, etc. should be uploaded using the lab dropbox.

If the file should only be seen by you and mark, or a few other people because of sensitive information, use [Veracrypt] to create a new image that contains the sensitive files, and upload veracrypt image to the lab dropbox.

Please avoid creating images larger than the content within the image

Larger private documents ( >100Mb)

If you want to make a large document public, you may do it in using labdropbox3:

1. At dropbox.com:

usr: dropbox3@gersteinlab.org
passwd: *ask Mihali, Mark or FN*

2. Follow the directory structure:

YEAR/MONTH.DAY/file_name

3. If the file has sensitive information:

Use [Veracrypt] to create a new image that contains the sensitive files, and upload veracrypt image to dropbox
Please avoid creating images larger than the content within the image
