Pointers on Powerpoints

• Number Slides
• Make a secondary PDF when mailing to a list
• For a template use the initial slides from any of the recent lectures on http://lectures.gersteinlab.org/summary (e.g. http://lectures.gersteinlab.org/summary/ismb08pub-20080723-textmining)
• Don't use slide animations (makes it hard to convert into PDF)
• Use Ariel or Helvetica (or Times) if possible. (Don't use "Calibri" which doesn't convert well between mac and windows.)

• Try to put references on slides -- e.g. "[Jones et al. (2009) Genome Res.]"
